Location: Ordesa Valley, Spain He held onto her protectively squeezing her hand gently. "It's just a bat" he said soothingly. He shone the light into the corner of the abandoned attic and onto the petrified little creature flying around sporadically. The room was glowing - was she radiating, or was it merely the full moon outside the broken glass? Location: Border of France / Spain She looked at the store-keeper, lost for words, he stared at her waiting impatiently. "Köszönöm szépen!" ... no ... "Merci!" ... no ... "Grazie!" She felt like crying, his face turned into a warm smile and responded in perfect English "You're welcome, but, I am still waiting for you to pay me." Location: Ócsa (Hungary) Delicately she typed slowly and deliberately on the foreign keyboard "I look forward to seeing you." She paused and reread the email for the seventh time, until finally, she pressed send. She did a pirouette in front of the mirror with her skirt flowing gaily in a circle. She stopped suddenly feeling dizzy. Looking concerned she asked abruptly “Will people think Im a gypsy when I wear this skirt?” Her grandmother laughed, her eyes twinkling adoringly. “No - when you see a gypsy you will know it.” She was right. Location: Budapest (Hungary) Twirling the wine in her glass she looked up and asked curiously “If you could give your 18 year old self advice, what would it be?” He took a long gulp of his beer and placed it down tenderly on the table in-front of him.
